Danny's Digiscoping Set Ups.

Welcome to my set ups page.

I've digiscoped with my different cameras, adapters & scopes over the years and they've all helped me to get where I am today.

Below are images of the set ups that I currently digiscope with.

If you would like any further advice or info on these set ups or other possible combinations please get in contact with me. All my contact details can be found on the homepage.

I really like and recommend the Swarovski Optik digiscoping systems. Above you can see just a few of the possible  camera/scope combinations. The newer TLS APO & DCB II have been engineered so that they can be used on the newer ATX/STX range as well as the slightly older ATS/STS scopes & eyepieces.

Every part of these adapters are precision made to fit your scope perfectly. These adapters have also taken digiscoping out of the DIY ranks and put it firmly amongst the professional set ups. Digiscoping has finally evolved!!

One thing that I really like about Nikon equipment is that you can buy a complete system all made by Nikon from camera to scope.

Like the Swarovski equipment, Nikons gear is all very well made and easy to use. The Series 1 V1 camera is one of the best I've used in terms of quality & simplicity.

So, if Swarovski isn't your thing then Nikon are well worth a look!!

Tripods & Stuff!

The digiscoping set ups above would be no use at all without something decent holding them all up!!

I use a  Gitzo carbon fibre tripod with a dampened head mainly.

I also use a Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod with a fluid dampened head as a back up.

Both are excellent tripods and heads that offer great support and smooth, accurate positioning.

There are also many outlets for the digiscoping equipment that you can see above, but I recommend you consider....

Viking Optical

Their branch in Halesworth, Suffolk is full of the latest equipment for you to try before you buy.

Speak to Paul or Scott and be sure to mention this website. They'll know you mean digiscoping then!!
