Purple Sandpipers
In Lowestoft, during the winter months, we play host to a small gathering of Purple Sandpipers.
Bigger & more pleasing on the eye than a Turnstone, these little lovelies are so called because of the purple shimmer on their coat, that is shown in sunlight.
Normally found around the rocks at Ness Point, we locals never get bored of looking at them.
